Exposing Daylight Robbery on Tax Day: A Special Edition of The Earnest Mann Show
Hello everyone, Earnest Mann here, bringing you a special Tax Day edition this April 15th. In today’s episode, we're peeling back the curtain on everyday thievery—not just the taxes but also how common items, like your groceries, are marked up to astonishing rates.
The Hidden Costs Behind Everyday Items
I discuss how seemingly innocent products, like chicken skin chips, can cost as much as luxury goods. For instance, did you know that a bag of chicken chips can cost nearly $40 per pound? That’s right in the ballpark of what you’d pay for high-end filet mignon! This episode sheds light on the hidden costs and deceptive pricing that affect your wallet daily.
Historical Perspectives on Tax Day Robbery
We also dive into some historical insights, with photographs and stories that draw parallels between past and present-day financial exploitation. From tales of old tax round-ups to modern subtle thefts, we explore how the more things change, the more they stay the same.

00:10 hey hello folks how you doing it's Monday April 15th tax day and this is kind of a special edition you might say and since it is tax day we going to be talking all about thievery that's right all things in this video will concern how you are being robbed in broad daylight B besides the taxes of course and um so we're going to mention just a little bit about taxes and um you know just mention a a couple of uh perhaps thought provoking things that most people don't discuss or even you know think about on tax day but
01:10 that's why you have me cuz that's what I do I sit around and I you know I think nasty habit that's what I do so um and then just For Your Entertainment pleasure we're going to have a nice ending a nice pretty visual thing that I did just for you it's just to relax on this nightmarish day we're going to make it through this I promise but I thought it would be nice um at least for you to maybe you know kick back a Corona or two and sit and watch this and um realized that I thought you were special enough to do it
02:05 so let's get right into this without further do now if you take a look at say this guy now that's a grocery store manager manager seems like a nice enough guy okay fine and of course these stores well they have employees most of the time they look people like this okay this is the kind of people you see but what you're not told here is the other side of the equation is that what you are actually dealing with is a guy who looks a lot like this because you are being ripped off just so terribly and I'm going to use at least
03:01 one good solid example including pictures you're G to be shocked you're G to be amazed but it really it really is that bad so you know it you just have to see it to believe it that's all I can say stick with me okay so youve probably know what this is and if you don't I'll tell you it's a hell of a lot lot of people love it most of us can't afford it it is filet Minon and it's really really good stuff I've had it a couple of times in my life um I think maybe on both occasions was
03:48 when someone else was paying for it I sure as hell can't afford it yeah and uh so on average depending on where you buy it and the quality because of course quality varies but uh you're looking at a minimum I'm not saying you can get it cheaper I'm saying of a decent quality but it's going to be at least you know somewhere around 20 $25 a pound at least more typically closer to 35ish or even more for the really Primo stuff now take a look at this that's right it's a bag of chicken
04:35 chips look really carefully look at that price yes you see it right almost $10 a fing bag for some chicken skin things and you'll also notice on a package it is uh only 4 oz so if you do the math you uh you see that comes out to almost $40 a pound so there's my example when they don't give the poundage price and it escapes you um excuse me almost $40 a pound for flavored you know deep fried chicken skin the price of filet on that folks is robbery pure and simple that's robbery that is
05:42 how they rob you and there are so many other ways that they rob you and I even have I even have would you believe I have pictures of a robbery and progress and uh here it is and this is a series of pictures of um it's granted it's an old picture but it's what it was for um was a whole train load of people that uh hadn't paid their taxes and so they rounded them up and if you look real carefully in the uh left hand side of that photograph you'll see there's um a guy a little further to your right now he's
06:31 got the guns um on the crowd holding him at gunpoint there's also uh a fellow in the back but it's very hard to to see uh that's they're also being uh there's actually two guys in the back on the other side of the crowd that you can't see uh so they're holding them at gunpoint there and if you look at the very cornerish of uh where the man in front is is holding his guns there is a man to his right with a satchel and uh he has a hat on and a satchel and he's working with him and
07:11 his job um is to fleece all their money Andor personal possessions into that satchel and um you know that's that's the way they used to do it folks and the only thing now uh the the only difference of course is um they're not to usually typically they're not as Brazen as they once used to be and they come with guns to shoot you down in your home now they want to be out of sight and civilized about the theft that doesn't keep them from stealing and repossessing well your home business doesn't matter so yeah
08:00 um it's same as uh over well over hundred years ago and it's uh the same story so uh yeah that's uh what I'm telling you is the kind of thing you don't hear people talking like I'm talking on the 6 o'cl corporate McNew I bet you that uh they're all Crooks and criminals and um you know it's designed to uh well to keep your pocket as light as possible and uh to keep theirs as heavy as possible and the thing is they want you and what you know they're what you need is sympathy folks you got to understand
08:48 those Mansions those exotic cars hell I mean really good quality golf clubs are expensive Ive and uh one guy as you could see in a couple other photographs tried to escape and uh they shot him down um I mean you know it's but it's plenty okay as far as if you're on the robbing end of this that you know the bankers and you all the corporations who have offshore counts and virtually you know pay no taxes that's okay so yeah so you know I just I thought it was appropriate it just seemed on this day um that you would have something
09:42 that you know uh to put things in perspective as you you know have a beer or two or three or I don't know maybe even two or three glasses of wine you know maybe cry a little bit okay but anyway um awareness is the first uh step getting of getting uh the criminals out of the equation that I totally believe is the first step and the other one is to be aware of what the hell it is you're paying for and how much and maybe just maybe you won't be paying almost $40 a pound the price of filet Manan for chicken
10:45 skin crackland things just something to consider anyway I also promised you um I promised you this um enterainment so that's exactly what I'm going to do no talking just some something pretty and some and some music so now it's the time to pull out the cork out of that bottle and maybe kick back and hopefully not um not be so depressed because it is US theft day anyway until next Monday or Friday this is Ernest wishing you uh peace and good things [Music] [Music]
